Welcome to Budding with Pride, I love to share my journey with gardening, minimalism, and slow/intentional living! My name is River (they/them), and I'm thrilled to have you join me on this journey.

A little about me: I've been gardening for 4 seasons now, I have developed a deep love for flowers and plants along the way. Based in Omaha, Nebraska, we enjoy USDA zone 6a, which presents its own unique set of opportunities and challenges. During the last couple years I have really grown to appreciate a minimalist-ish lifestyle, and have embraced more slow/intentional living. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and someone who identifies as non-binary, I aim to create a welcoming and inclusive space where everyone can feel comfortable and inspired to explore their gardening passions and to reflect on their lifestyle.

What you can expect

On this blog, I'll be sharing things I have learned about gardening, especially tailored for those of us with small spaces. But I'll also be sharing about my journey towards a minimalist lifestyle and how I've embraced a slower more intentional way of living. Here's a sneak peak at what you can look forward to:

• Seasonal Advice: How to handle winterizing your plants/bulbs and preparing for each season, as well as how to keep moving forward through the ups and downs we all experience with the changing of the seasons.

• DIY Projects: Creative and budget-friendly projects that you can easily do at home.

• Pollinator-Friendly Tips: How to attract bees and butterflies to your garden.

• Interactive Content: Quizzes, Polls, and Q&A sessions where you can directly interact with me or the community!
